Moving to Tacoma was probably one of the most rewarding things I could have ever done... Being a single mom of twins in a pandemic its not everyday you truly feel comfortable and supported when choosing a sport your kiddos will do for a year... At DEA even when I was unsure of how my kids (4 year olds) would respond to competition cheer the owner allowed us to take our time trying it out, getting comfortable with stretching and tumbles and all the wonderful things about cheer before we officially became a part of the team and paid anything.. People fail to realize how much of an investment this team provides to the growth of the elites all the way down to the youngest baby blaze... You have to be prepared to know and understand our handbook that every parent receives that lists prices and how often fees are due ( this is the most important thing to know before starting competitive cheer)... Every individual is treated not only as a team member but part of the family and as a person that is both unique and talented...With that being said with so many cultures and diversity this team has, they also take into account individual hair types, body structures, footwear comfort and even styling of hair when creating looks for gear and competition.. We have not experienced our first competitions but in just 3 weeks my kids have went from barely doing backbends to full blown cartwheels and can't wait to show me their progress... This gym is family friendly. The staff is amazing. The Coaches build bonds with their athletes, that’s not common in most gyms.This gym is a hidden gem.

DEA truly cares about their community. They are accesible you ALL of our community and even provide their space to local charity’s. That’s what cheer is all about!!!

Great staff and facilities. Really unique experience for athletes given DEA’s relationship with complete athlete. The progression program is great for athletes growing and learning. Best cheerleading and tumbling in Tacoma Washington. I love their philosophy surrounding what it means to “Own the Edge”.
